So. Our lives have turned 180 degrees, haven't they? No one could have expected such a scenario (except George Orwell, in some very accurate ways), not that long ago lives full of all sorts of plans (long-term and short-term) and goals. Heads were full of thoughts of future vacations, career achievements, new purchases and entertainments. And poof. All gone.
Many are left just with daydreams only, and no one knows when they are going to get materialised. We have shut ourselves inside with our families and loved ones, though it is such an opportunity to spend more time with one another, get to know each other's quirks and things you might not have noticed before. Of course it's not easy. Not easy to let go of the things we were so used to doing when everyone could roam the streets freely. Not easy to fall into a new kind of rhythm - staying inside. Within so little time, we had to adjust to unfamiliar and, oh so strange, new life.
During these many changes, we simply wanted to put a smile on everyone's face, give hope, this feeling of belonging with free photoshoots (that are safe and contactless at that!) and a beautiful message sent. We want to show the world what this new life is, become a part of (not so fun, that is true) history and share the message with everyone. A drop of positivity is much needed now, that is why this project is completely free; we simply want to make someone smile.
It started at first as a local idea in Northern Ireland by Ryan Bokeh Photography (Rytis Zdanavicius and brand ambassador Aine Anupreviciute), when an acquaintance asked for a little "window" photoshoot merely because she had a message and drawings on her window. And well, one idea grew to another, and here we are now!
However, it is time to include the whole world (or as much of it as possible)! We are looking for both families and photographers who want to appear on our project page. Simply navigate on the tab of "Find a Photographer" and choose yours! If you can't get one in your country or city - let us know and we will do our best to scout a local photographer for you!
Thank you so much to those who already participated and smiled for the camera on the other side of their window. Thank you to those who decided to donate to this project too. You can either choose to donate to a certain photographer or donate to the whole project for its running, administration and website maintenance. Any support is much appreciated and we cannot thank you enough!
Pose, share, love and smile. And most importantly - stay healthy and safe!
